Asamoah Gyan: Ghana’s loss to Morocco was due to a lack of urgency

ex-Captain Asamoah Gyan of the Ghana Black Stars and current analyst for SuperSport on DSTV’s network, the Black Stars’ loss against Morocco lacked intensity.

Sofiane Boufal scored a late goal for the Atlas Lions to defeat Ghana in their Group C opener at Cameroon’s Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium.

As a pundit for the first time since 2008, Gyan delivered a scathing assessment of the competition.

“There was no haste on the part of the Black Stars. The Moroccans’ onslaught was our opportunity to ambush them. Although I had anticipated his arrival, Issahaku was running a few minutes behind schedule, which had an impact on the rest of us. “On SuperSport, he argued that to win you have to take calculated risks.

By failing to capitalize on chances, the Ghanaian forward said, “your fans will be dissatisfied.”

While Asamoah Gyan has been on the sidelines for nearly a year, he has yet to retire.

The Black Stars and Gabon will square off on January 14th, 2022.
