Ghana’s President Receives Forbes African Award

The President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo received the Forbes “African of the Year Award” on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from Forbes Magazine.

His “initiative to provide free quality education to students” earned him the award.

Forbes Africa magazine named President Akufo-Addo African of the Year.

The magazine previously indicated that “Ghana’s President has repositioned the country in the global marketplace as one reliant on its own resources and strengths.”

President Akufo-Addo expressed his gratitude to Forbes Magazine for “recognizing the work that we are doing here in Ghana” in response to the award.

Nana Addo receives Forbes African of the Year Award

Past recipients of this award include Rwandan President Paul Kagame, Akin Adesina, President of the African Development Bank Group, and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization.
